We are always looking for opportunities to make our products more sustainable. This means working hand in hand with our suppliers, product by product.
In 2025, we worked closely with Emerio, a producer of household appliances, to make improvements to our Home Essentials food blender.
We studied various options: changing the design, for example, or including simple instructions to make it easier to repair. In the end, we replaced the blender’s plastic jug, using glass instead, to make the product more durable. We also installed a new, more robust safety switch, which is less prone to developing faults.
We made these changes without compromising on quality or low prices. The new, improved Home Essentials food blender will go on sale in Action stores in 2026. Our work with Emerio is part of the new supplier outreach programme and we will be working with more suppliers to improve other products.
